How can I update my firmware?

Use the Ruskin software to update the firmware on our latest Generation3 instruments.

When you are running Ruskin on a computer connected to the Internet, and plug in an instrument, Ruskin will automatically check if a new firmware version is available. If a newer version is available and this update is critical, a warning message will appear.  Otherwise, check for routine updates under the Instruments menu. See Ruskin user guides, the Firmware updates section.

Firmware updates for legacy instruments such as the XR series or TDR instruments may not be possible depending on the age of the instrument. If the firmware can be updated, it will require the instrument to be returned to the factory, and the upgrade would be a chargeable service item.
