Ruskin failing to open on Windows
Issue
Ruskin cannot open on Windows when available Bluetooth ports contain unidentifiable characters in the name.
Solution
Turn off your computer's Bluetooth or disable your Bluetooth ports.
If a Bluetooth port is already in use, Ruskin will not try to communicate with the port and there will not be an issue opening the program.
If you require a Bluetooth port to be available for pairing while Ruskin is in use, open Ruskin while the Bluetooth port is in use and blacklist the port by deselecting the checkbox beside that port in the Instruments window. Ruskin will not try to communicate with a blacklisted port, so the Bluetooth device will successfully disconnect and the Bluetooth port will be available for pairing.
